I am finally getting around to blogging this little guy’s session. He was so sweet and content. He spent a little time in the NICU before coming to me so he was totally fine with me moving him around. It is very hit or miss when it comes to nicu babies. Sometime they are so used to being messed with that that don’t care or they are tired of being messed with and want to be left alone. Luckily, he did a wonderful job in the studio!!
I wouldn’t normally blog about something so personal on my photography page but I feel like so many mom’s can relate! My youngest baby is turning nine months in two days and breastfeeding has become a chore. A delightful chore for the most part but but a chore none the less. I enjoy cuddling and bonding with my baby boy but it is demanding. He isn’t eating many solids right now, he would rather nurse, so he is still nursing a lot. I am an extremely busy mom. I kind of want my body back. As selfish as that sounds, it’s true. Until I look at that little face. That little tiny baby nose. His little baby lips. He is so close to being a toddler. He is my fifth baby, my last baby and when I’m done nursing, I will be done forever. I don’t think I can do it. I don’t want him to be independent yet. I love that he needs me. I love that I can comfort him when he is upset. I love that I can make food to help him grow and thrive. So, I’ve made up my mind, I’m breastfeeding forever no matter how inconvenient it becomes 😂😭
Editing babies flaky skin can be very tedious sometimes. Newborns naturally have blotchy and uneven skin tones. It’s very rare that I get a baby with minimal editing needed but this was one of those babies! Such perfect smooth skin! I didn’t even need portraiture!!
I am so lucky to have been doing this long enough to see second and even third babies. It’s going to be tough starting over in Jacksonville but I’m excited to build new relationships. I still plan on coming back a few times a year to offer family and mini sessions though! I can’t miss these babies growing up completely!! Here is one of my very loyal clients and her third kid!
We are almost done with our online workshop and getting very excited to release it!
Just a few more tweaks and then we can add all of the written info.
This is going to be a guide for newborn photographers to watch and learn from a session start to finish.
You will get to see our posing flow which can help speed up your session tremendously!
You also get a peek inside our gorgeous studio!
I hope you love it!
Please say a little prayer for my family and everyone in hurricane Irma’s path. We haven’t left for Florida yet, so we are safe but there are so many in the path of destruction.
Watching these babies grow is one of my favorite things about being a photographer. They turn into such little people by the time they are one!
This little girl was so sweet for her session. She was very serious but we got a few smiles out of her!
I can’t believe how much she changed in such a short time.
I’m flying home to do some Christmas minis but I’m thinking about offering them in Orange Park or Gainesville as well, what do you think!?
I love meeting moms at their maternity sessions. That way I feel like I get a good idea of those style when it comes to the newborn session. This mom loved purple and I think we nailed it will this setup in the studio!
I have packed up my studio and now I am updating my website getting ready for the move! I found this gem! He was such a sweet boy! Love newborn smiles!!
